Using this site means accepting these terms.

1. What the service is

HouseholdMath is an educational calculator. It applies published averages and standard mortgage arithmetic to figures you supply, and returns estimates. It is not an appraisal, a loan offer, financial advice, or a report about any person or property. See the disclaimer.

2. No warranty

The service is provided “as is”. No representation is made that any estimate is accurate, current or fit for any purpose. Data sources change and models are approximations. You are responsible for verifying anything you act on.

3. Prohibited uses

You may not use this site or its output:

to make or influence any decision about credit, insurance, employment, tenancy, housing, or eligibility for any benefit — this site is not a consumer reporting agency and its output is not a consumer report under the Fair Credit Reporting Act;
to harass, stalk, surveil, profile, threaten or intimidate any person;
to represent an estimate as a factual statement about a named individual's income, assets or finances;
to scrape, bulk-query or redistribute the underlying data files as a substitute service;
in any way that violates applicable law.

4. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator of this site is not liable for any loss arising from use of, or reliance on, anything published here — including direct, indirect, incidental, consequential or punitive damages.

5. Intellectual property

The underlying statistics are public data from federal agencies and published industry surveys. The presentation, code, text and derived calculations are the property of the site operator. Short quotations with attribution and a link are welcome; wholesale copying is not.

6. Third-party links and advertising

This site links to external sources and carries third-party advertising. It does not control and is not responsible for external content.

7. Changes

These terms may be updated; the date above reflects the current version. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
